Common questions

What people ask before they book

Are my sessions private?

Yes. This stays between you and your coach. Nothing goes to your employer or shows up on any record. If your employer is sponsoring the coaching, we agree up front exactly what is and isn't shared, usually only attendance, never what you discuss. We have two locations, Raffles Place and Joo Chiat, and you can also meet online, away from the office. The only limit is the legal duty every counsellor works under.

Do I need to be unhappy at work to come?

No. People come to us stuck, burnt out or between jobs, but just as many come because things are going well and they want to go further, into leadership, a pivot, or a more meaningful direction. If your career matters to you, it's worth a conversation.

How is this different from a regular career coach?

Our career coaches are also trained psychotherapists, and most have spent years in senior corporate roles themselves. So you get the practical side, your CV, your search, your next move, and the emotional side, the burnout, self-doubt or pattern that's quietly holding you back. Most coaches only do one of those.

What if the coach isn't right for me?

Tell us after your first session and we will match you with someone else. Fit is what makes coaching work, so you are never stuck with the wrong coach. The free 15-minute chemistry call is there to check the fit before you ever book a full session.

What happens on the free 15-minute chemistry call?

It is a short, no-pressure call with the coach we have matched to you, not a salesperson. You talk through where you are in your career, get a feel for them, and decide if it is the right fit. No payment, no commitment. If it feels right, you book your first full session. If not, we will match you with someone else.

Will my coach actually be qualified?

Yes. Our coaches are ICF-accredited and trained as counsellors or psychologists, many of them Master's-level and internationally trained, with real management experience in the corporate world. The practice is led by Dr. Glenn Graves, who holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and is an ICF Certified Professional Coach. We are affiliated with the APA, EMDR Singapore, the Singapore Psychological Society, the Singapore Association for Counselling, and the ICF.

How many sessions will I need?

Most career coaching runs as a short, focused program, usually four to six hour-long sessions, depending on your goals and what we cover. Many people feel clearer after the first session or two. You're never locked in, and you and your coach decide the pace together.

What does it cost?

A 60-minute session ranges from $200 to $375 + GST, depending on the coach we match you with. You are never locked into a package, and you decide as you go. If cost is a concern, bring it up on your free chemistry call. We offer a sliding scale and package rates, and if your employer is sponsoring the coaching, we can invoice them or work with your EAP.

Still have a question? That is exactly what the free 15-minute chemistry call is for.
